Honestly speaking, I am the kind of person who always loves to find unique and interesting items to decorate my home. However, one particular item that I truly admire and feel emotionally connected to is a painting of the Golden Temple. I bought this painting a couple of months ago when I visited Amritsar for a spiritual trip along with my family.
Actually, being a spiritual person, I visit the Golden Temple quite often to pay my obeisance and spend some peaceful time there. On this visit, after staying inside the temple for a few hours and soaking in the calm atmosphere, my family members and I decided to explore the local market outside. While strolling through the narrow streets, I came across a small shop. It wasn’t very big, but it looked quite attractive and was filled with artistic items.
Out of curiosity, I went inside and started browsing. After a few minutes, I noticed one particular painting that immediately caught my attention. Initially, I assumed it was an artificial or printed piece, but when I looked at it more carefully, I realised that it was completely handmade. The artist had used a traditional Indian style of painting with rich and vibrant colours. The shadows, reflections, and overall detailing of the Golden Temple were beautifully laid out, which made the painting look very realistic and eye-catching.
Although the painting was quite expensive at first, I used my bargaining skills and managed to get it at a reasonable price. After bringing it home, I was a bit confused about where to place it, but eventually I decided to hang it in my own room. The reason behind this decision is that the painting gives me very positive vibrations. Whenever I look at it, I feel calm, relaxed, and spiritually uplifted. I strongly believe that this is one decorative item that I will always cherish and never forget throughout my life.
